RESEARCH PURCHASING GUIDES · UPDATED 13 SEPTEMBER 2026
Choosing a format starts with what your laboratory needs to receive: a vial of material, a replacement cartridge, or a reusable pen set. Similar compound names can appear in several formats, so compare the complete listing before ordering.
Compare the three formats
| Format | What to check |
|---|---|
| Research vials | Compound name, labelled amount, supplied condition and product-specific documentation. Check whether the listing is for an individual vial or a bundle. |
| Refill cartridges | Compound, cartridge format and compatibility with the pen model you already own. A cartridge listing does not automatically include a pen or case. |
| Reusable pen sets | Pen model, included cartridge, accessories and the exact contents of the selected set. |
How the reusable system works
The pen is designed to be retained for professional laboratory use. After purchasing a pen set, you can order refill cartridges instead of purchasing another complete set. Cartridges within the supplied system are interchangeable. Check the current product listing against your pen model; do not assume compatibility with devices from other suppliers.
Pen sets carry the stated three-year guarantee. Keep your order record and contact the team with the product model and purchase details for guarantee assistance. Reusability of the pen does not imply that cartridges, needles or other consumable components are reusable.
Amount, volume and format are different details
A quantity expressed in milligrams describes a labelled amount of material. A cartridge capacity expressed in millilitres describes volume. Neither detail, by itself, establishes a solution's concentration or confirms that two products are interchangeable for an analytical method. Use the supplied documentation and your laboratory's approved procedures.
Compare a real product across formats
The NAD+ collection includes 500mg vial, cartridge and pen-set listings. The GHK-Cu collection includes 50mg and 100mg formats. Open each listing to compare contents and current availability; similar names do not mean identical packages.
Before you order
- Match the compound name, amount and format to your purchasing request.
- Check which hardware and consumables are included.
- Read storage and handling information for that specific product.
- Check the available batch documentation using the COA reading guide.
- Keep your order reference and the product's batch details together.
If the listing does not resolve a compatibility question, send the team your pen model and the cartridge name before ordering.
